Arrived here safe and sound after a 30 hour trip from Grays. Winds were light in the 10 knot range most of the way. Dawn from Kaligan will be arriving in a few days which works well with the weather window.
This is also where Debbie told Lynn that she wanted to go home. So far this trip is testing all of her skills, Lynn offered to send the boat home if she didn't want to continue, after lots of tears and making some new friends. She sucked it up
Are planning to spent Saturday and Sunday here, and then will probably move on to Coos Bay Oregon early next week depending on the weather.
Newport is know for it coast guard training station we stopped by and were told that this fall they were doing training in big seas that are done in February.
We are finding that 2 hour watches are working out ok. Lynn was so exhausted that he feel asleep on a rock wall close to the big boat. The biggest seas were when crossing the bar leaving Grays Harbor (the most excitement on this leg lol).
