As we approached the assigned slip we found that both sides had plywood fences on them, this is to keep the sea lions off.
We needed to do a huge load of laundry when we got here. To get to the laundry we had to use a pay phone, only it did not appear to be working correctly, as the sheriff showed up. They asked us if we had called for help we explained that some young people had been playing with the phone. We were just trying to call a taxi to get to the laundry-mat. The Sheriff decided it would be better if they called the taxi for us.
We also met up with some sailing friends from Victoria (Tony and Nancy on Moodancer)they had tried anchoring outside the marina but the swell was building up and they decided to move into the marina
