While riding the train before we got to the valleys and hills we would slow down every so often and find that railmen were working on the tracks. Lynn and I hope they replaced every one of these spikes when they took from the rails and tracks

There are numerous tunnels, bridges and switchbacks on the route. At times the space between the tunnel, brick wall or embankment was very slim.

I wonder how long it took us to get up to that tressle

do not look over the edge when you go over the brigde, they do not leave room for any one to walk over it at the same time as a train
